Email Alerts: How to run quality checks and stop flow execution to prevent writing bad data to critical systems

Problem Description:

I would like the simplest solution to perform quality checks and block the flow in case of an anomaly, to prevent bad data from being written to certain critical targets.

Solution:

Alerts on targets allow you to block flow execution in case of abnormal data (if data is written to the target with a blocking alert, flow execution will be interrupted).

To reduce the number of blocking alerts to configure, it is possible to first aggregate several checks using the preparation editor (business rules, generative AI, or quality KPIs) to then detect the presence of anomalies with a filter. The goal here is to gather anomaly indications into an indicator column.
